JOINT COMMUNIQUE ISSUED ON THE OCCASION OF THE STATE VISIT TO THE REPUBLIC OF UGANDA BY H.E ATO HAILEMARIAM DESALEGN, PRIME MINISTER OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA

H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E Hailemariam Desalegn, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia at State House Entebbe.

At the invitation of His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, His Excellency Hailemariam Desalegn, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia paid a three-day State Visit to Uganda from 2nd -4th March, 2017. His Excellency Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn was accompanied by the First Lady, W/o Roman Tesfaye, Ministers and other Senior Officials of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Their Excellencies held Official Talks in a cordial and friendly atmosphere during which they exchanged views on a wide range of bilateral, regional and international issues of common interest. Their Excellencies also witnessed the signing of Memoranda of Understanding on cooperation in the areas of women and children as well as youth and sports.

GOVERNMENT OF UGANDA SIGNS AGREEMENT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE OIL REFINERY IN KABAALE - HOIMA DISTRICT., 11th-April 2018

The Uganda Government has, through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development together with the Uganda National Oil Company, today entered into the Project Framework Agreement (PFA) the with Albertine Graben Refinery Consortium(AGRC) for the development of the oil refinery.
