HON. KUTESA DELIVERS SPECIAL MESSAGE TO PRESIDENT KAGAME

Hon. Sam Kutesa, Minister of Foreign Affairs met with His Excellency President Paul Kagame of the Republic of Rwanda on Thursday 25 October 2018 in Kigali.

Hon. Kutesa delivered a special message from President Yoweri Museveni to his counterpart.

Mr. Kutesa had earlier met with Dr Richard Sezibera and congratulated him upon his recent appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and East African Community. They discussed issues of bilateral interest and pledged to work closely to broaden and deepen cooperation between Uganda and Rwanda.

Dr. Sezibera replaces Ms Louise Mushikiwabo, who was on 12 October 2018 unanimously elected by the Heads of State and Government of the Oraganisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) member countries as the next OIF Secretary General.

UGANADA HANDS OVER 70 EX-23 COMBATANTS TO DRC, 27th-February 2019

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on behalf of Government of the Republic of Uganda on 26th Febuary 2019, facilitated the repatriation of over 70 EX-23 Combatants  and 10 dependants to  the Government of the Republic of the Democratic of Congo. The Ceremony took place at Entebbe International Airport.
