PRESIDENT MUSEVENI HAILS UGANDA -TANZANIA RELATIONS CHATO - TANZANIA.

At the Invitation of H.E. Dr. John Pombe MAGUFULI, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta MUSEVENI, paid a one day visit to his counterpart in Chato, Geita area - Northwest Region  of  Tanzania on 13 / 7 / 2019.  


While addressing the residents at a public gathering in Chato, President Museveni  described the visit as a "pilgrimage" adding that while Catholics travel to Rome in Italy and Muslims go to Mecca in Saudi Arabia, for him he travels to Tanzania.


Uganda and Tanzania enjoy excellent warm cordial relations which are historic in nature  founded on the principles and spirit of Pan Africanisim and brotherhood. 


The visit comes at a time when Uganda and Tanzania are organising the first ever Business forum scheduled to take place at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Center in Dar-es-Salaam. The Forum will be presided over by both Heads of State from 4th -5th September 2019.
