HON. SAM KUTESA RECEIVES COPIES OF THE LETTERS OF CREDENCE FROM THE NEW GHANAIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER DESIGNATE TO THE REPUBLIC OF UGANDA.13 / 8 / 2019, KAMPALA

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda, Hon. Sam .K. KUTESA today at the Ministry Headquarters, received copies of the Letters of Credence from the new High Commissioner Designate of the Republic of Ghana to Uganda, H.E. Mrs Francisca ASHIETY-ODUNTON.

Hon. Kutesa welcomed the incoming High Commissioner and assured her of the Ministry's necessary support and assistance required for execution of her duties in Uganda. The Minister further hailed the cordial and historical relations that have existed between Ghana and Uganda. He looks forward to further strengthening the relations in areas such as Trade, Culture, Education and Air Space Sharing considering the revival of Uganda Airlines.

In presenting her copies of Letters of Credence to the Honorable Minister, H.E. Mrs Francisca ASHIETY conveyed a message of gratitude for the warm reception that was accorded to her. She further reaffirmed her commitment to enhance Bilateral Cooperation between the two countries during her Tour of Duty.

Presidents Museveni, Kenyatta discuss sugar trade, August 28, 2019 , 29th-August 2019

YOKOHAMA, JAPAN: President Yoweri Museveni has today met and held a bilateral meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya on the sidelines of TICAD 7 conference in Yokohama, Japan during which the two leaders discussed the issue of sugar and sugarcane exports to Kenya.
