Uganda to strengthen Bilateral Relations with Norway

The Minister of Foreign Affairs today Wednesday 27th November 2019 met with the new Ambassador of Norway, H.E Elin Johansen. She was accompanied to the meeting by the Former Ambassador, H.E Arild R. Oyen who is now Norwegian Special Envoy. The Hon. Minister congratulated the Ambassador upon presenting Her Credentials to H.E the President  and assured her of the Ministry’s support in discharging her duties.

The Ambassador thanked the Minister for the warm welcome and pledged to work with Uganda especially in promoting the opportunities of trade, investment and tourism that Uganda offers, to the people of Norway, basing on her vast expertise in the economic sphere. The Ambassador further assured of her continued cooperation with the government of Uganda in achieving regional peace and security.
