Hon. Sam Kutesa Receives Credentials of the Honorary Consul of The Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to Uganda

Hon. Sam KUTESA, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda this morning officially received credentials of the new Honorary Consul of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to Uganda, Mr. Sudhir RUPERALIA at the Ministry Headquarters.


The Minister, congratulated Mr. Ruperalia upon his appointment as the Nepalese Honorary Consul to Uganda. He further noted that this appointment would strengthen bilateral cooperation, promote trade and development between both countries.

In presenting his credentials to the Honorable Minister, Mr. Ruperalia conveyed a message of gratitude for the warm reception that was accorded to him further stating that his intention is to work closely with the Ministry to assist in the development of trade and economic relations between Nepal and Uganda with specific interest in promoting Tourism.

Nepalese Ambassador to Uganda (non- resident) H.E. Jyabindra ARYAL reiterated that having representation in Uganda will provide and ease access of consular services to Nepalese living in Uganda.

Hon. Kutesa reaffirmed the provision of the Ministry's necessary support and Technical assistance required in execution of his duties as Honorary Consul. 

Also in attendance was the Permanent Secretary Amb. Patrick Mugoya and Amb Charles Ssentongo the Chief of Protocol.
