Uganda Consulate Mombasa Publishes Fourth Edition of the "Focus on the Pearl" Magazine

The Head of Public Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Alfred Nnam on Tuesday 15th September received 800 copies of the "Focus on the Pearl" Magazine from Ambassador Katurebe Tayebwa, Uganda's Consul General in Mombasa.

The magazine highlighted the Milestone activities of the consulate that included: 
1. The State visit of H.E President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to Mombasa, 27th -28th March 2019;
2. The Kenya/Uganda joint Permanent Commission held in Nairobi, 21st - 22nd March 2019;
3. The 3rd Trade and Business Facilitation symposium, 12th -14th August 2019;
4. The 4th Tea Convention and exhibition held at Serena Hotel, 26th -28th June 2019;
5. The National and Regional Trade Facilitation Initiative and The Launch of Uganda airlines flight to Mombasa on 11th November 2019.

Ambassador Nnam thanked the Consul General, Ambassador Katurebe, and the entire staff of the Consulate in Mombasa for the positive publication which is in line with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs focus to facilitate Trade, Promote Uganda as an attractive Tourism and Investment destination, and to place Economic and Commercial Diplomacy at the Center of Uganda's Foreign Policy.

The Magazine will be used as an outreach tool in explaining the role of the Ministry in fostering Economic development.

He encouraged Uganda Missions abroad to emulate the example set by the Consulate to document their achievements and publish similar magazines.
