Press Statement Concerning Houthi Terrorist Attacks Against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Government of Uganda condemns in the strongest terms, terrorism in all its forms, manifestations, whenever and wherever it occurs.  All acts of terrorism and violent extremism are criminal and cannot be justified under any circumstance, regardless of whoever commits them and their motivation.  

Furthermore, the Government of Uganda condemns the abhorrent terrorist acts perpetrated by the Houthis against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, that has caused deaths and injuries to the civilian population, and destruction of property and economic facilities, the latest of which was the attack on Abha International Airport on 6th November 2021. We express our sympathy and deepest condolences to the victims of the terrorist attacks, to their families, and to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  

The Government of Uganda remains firmly committed to the global effort to fight against terrorism and violent extremism.  We reaffirm our total support to increased international cooperation to combat terrorism and violent extremism and to bring the perpetrators of these heinous terrorist acts to justice.
