UGANDA AND NIGERIA COMMIT TO STRENGTHENING BILATERAL RELATIONS

Kampala, 19 October  2022

Today morning ,HON.Okello Oryem,Minister of Foreign Affairs(International Affairs ),met with H.E .Ismail Ayobami Alatise the High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at Ministry headquarters .

Hon .Okello , in his remarks commended the strong historical relations between Uganda and Nigeria and communicated that Nigeria inspired Uganda towards gaining itís Independence.

The two principals discussed bilateral issues and agreed to further strengthen economic relations between the two Countries . They agreed to revive the Joint Permanent Commission (JPC) between Uganda and Nigeria .
