PROPERTY MANAGEMENT UNIT

The functions of this Unit are:

  • Participating in formulation and implementation of policy proposals on development of properties abroad;
  • Developing a costed work plan for the acquisition and  maintenance of properties abroad;
  • Coordinating the acquisition of properties abroad in line with domestic and international public procurement regulations;
  • Overseeing the construction, renovation and maintenance works of the properties abroad;
  • Monitoring Mission activities with respect to utilization of the properties through physical audits;
  • Assessing real estate performance and monitoring international market trends on real estate investments and advice government accordingly.

 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation on Training in Diplomatic, Etiquette, Protocol and Related matters with Buganda Kingdom at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters   Kampala.
