Hon. John Mulimba is a Ugandan politician and a Member of Parliament for Samia, Bugwe County North Constituency. Currently, he is the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in charge of Regional Affairs and Chairman, UNAFRI Governing Board.

Formal Education Background

Master’s degree in Business Administration from Makerere University Business School

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Sales from the University of Wales.

Bachelor’s degree in Social Development from Makerere University

National Higher Diploma in Marketing from Uganda National College of Commerce

Diploma in Human Resource Management from Makerere University

Work Experience

2021 to date    Minister of State for Foreign Affairs /Regional

Affairs and Member of Parliament representing Samia Bugwe North County Constituency and currently Chairman, UNAFRI Governing Board

2018 to 2020:  He Served on the National Governmental Organization Bureau Board of Directors.

2011 to 2016: Member of Parliament representing the People of Samia Bugwe Constituency where he served as a Member of the Standing Committee of COSASE as well as Chairperson of the Committee of Trade, Tourism and Cooperatives of Parliament of the Republic Uganda.

2006 to 2010:  He served on the Busitema University Council as Chairman of Finance Management Board

2001 to 2010: Served as a District Counsellor for Bulumbi Sub-county in Busia District

1997 to 2001:   He held the position of Busia District Chairman for the National Resistance Movement
