MoFA NewsLetter Volume 6

We are excited to unveil the August edition of Diplomatic Notes. August was an exciting month because the MoFA family gathered at the Annual Ambassadors Conference, an iconic event that presses the reset button on our foreign policy.

August was iconic on the sports calendar because we got to cheer our Sports Ambassadors on the international stage. Our Missions and diaspora ramped up the adrenalin in Paris and this issue contains a special supplement to commemorate team Uganda's outstanding performance at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.

Commercial Diplomacy is central to our Foreign Policy execution. We are witnessing the dividends of implementing Bilateral Air Service Agreements to facilitate route expansion by Uganda Airlines, with consignments of fresh fruit and vegetables delivered to South Africa.

Where do you find Ugandan cuisine when you travel abroad? Our gastrodiplomacy sleuths discovered Ugandan Chefs promoting Uganda's cuisine in different parts of the world through food.

For the last couple of years, the MoFA and Missions abroad have partnered with Rotary to extend the reach of the Annual Rotary Cancer Run. This year we had 9 Uganda Embassies holding minimarathons in their host countries.
Our Ministers of Foreign Affairs have been at the forefront of the international arena, gallantly representing Uganda bilaterally and in multilateral fora, speaking for Uganda from the UN Security Council, to the African Union.

We hope you enjoy catching up on August's diplomatic highlights
