In another win for Economic and Commercial Diplomacy, the inaugural Uganda-France Investment, Tourism, and Trade Conference kicked off at the Cercle D’Aumale in Paris from February 17th to 20th 2025. The event, a strategic business initiative by the Uganda Embassy in Paris, is intended to enhance economic, trade, and tourism partnerships between Uganda and France.

On February 14, 2025, Hon. Odongo Jeje Abubakhar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uganda, paid a visit to the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Namibia to sign the condolence book in memory of the late former Namibian President, His Excellency Sam Nujoma. Having been warmly received by Honorary Consul of Namibia in Uganda, Godfrey Kirumira, who on behalf of the Government of Namibia, accepted the tribute and led the signing ceremony, the visit was also a reminder about the shared struggles and triumphs that unite African nations in their pursuit of freedom, justice, and development.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda on the 6th February 2025 hosted a delegation from the Embassy of Egypt in Uganda for a of bilateral political consultation, aimed at further strengthening the long-standing relationship between Uganda and Egypt. The Egyptian delegation, led by Ambassador Monzer Selim, was welcomed by the Ugandan delegation, headed by Hon. Oryem Henry Okello, the Minister of state for International Affairs.

On February 4, 2025, the newly appointed Uganda Country Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Kasonde G. Mulenga Mwinga formally presented her Letters of Credence from the UN Secretary-General to the Hon. Oryem Henry Okello, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in Charge of International Affairs, marking the official commencement of her tenure in Uganda.
