OUT-GOING AMBASSADOR TO JAPAN PAYS FAREWELL COURTESY CALL ON HON. MULIMBA

Kampala, 8th February, 2024 H.E Fukuzawa Hidemoto, out-going Ambassador to Japan to the Republic of Uganda paid a farewell courtesy call on the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs/Regional Cooperation, Hon. John Mulimba at the Ministry Headquarters. In his farewell remarks, H.E. Hidemoto stated that his tour of duty, which began in October 2020 which has seen milestone projects implemented, namely the Source of the Nile Jinja Bridge and the Kampala Flyover project. The outgoing Ambassador reaffirmed Japan's commitment to supporting Uganda's development and stated that his successor will continue to further strengthen the friendly relations between the two Countries. Amb. Hidemoto further emphasized the importance of people-to-people exchanges and cultural cooperation in promoting mutual understanding and friendship. While congratulating Amb. Hidemoto on the successful completion of his tour of duty, Hon. Mulimba expressed his appreciation for Japan's continued support to Uganda in various sectors, including infrastructure development, education, and healthcare. He highlighted the importance of the continued enhancement of trade and investment between the two Countries. END
